What to do in Montreal?

Attractions

Come a day early or stick around after the CARE Conference to visit some nearby attractions of downtown Montreal.

Montreal Tourism website: http://www.tourisme-montreal.org/

Eateries:

There are SOOOOO many great places to eat in Montreal, but use reviews to decide where.

Have Onion Soup. Have a crepe. Have poutine.

Have a Montreal Bagel with smoked salmon and cream cheese.  St Viateur Bagel has a chain of shops with wood fired bagel ovens. Or you can go to Fairmount Bagel (in the same place, on Fairmount, for decades) in Mile End, a funky neighbourhood to explore. Or you can go to Boulevard St Laurent, or Chinatown.

If you want Montreal smoked meat you have Schwartz’s  or the Main on Blvd St Laurent and Smoked Meat Petes which has live blues most Friday nights and is great, but is just off the Western tip of the island.
